The Third Guide | Mysteries of the Turkish scholarship for various specialties
When you intent to apply for the Turkish scholarship, you will have to start by reading the conditions assigned to each specialization, but it is not easy to read between the lines and therefore we will show you the secrets of the Turkish government scholarship in all its specializations to be fully aware of it.
The mysteries of applying for a Bachelor’s degree:
- If you are a student in the last year of high school, you can apply the transcript of grades of the last two years, and write the percentage of the second high school year.
- The application is not limited to high school graduates only, but also to Al-Azhar secondary and technical, industrial and agricultural diplomas. As long as the student has completed three years of study at the secondary stage, he is entitled to apply.
- Graduates of institutes (of two years) after high school are not counted as college graduates, but they are entitled to apply for the Bachelor’s degree scholarship.
- High school students of literature division have the right to apply for engineering or scientific majors.
- If you do not have any language certificates, you will be accepted in the scholarship, but in a specialization in the Turkish language, and it’s a mandatory prerequisite to study a preparatory year for the Turkish language.
- If you want to study in the English language, you must have a TOEFL or IELTS certificate with you while applying to prove your proficiency in the English language, because the scholarship does not provide a preparatory year for the English language.
- Those with certificates of excellence or were among the top in their governorates or country will have priority in admission, so be careful to prove this in the scholarship form.
The Mysteries of Applying to the Master’s degree:
- If you were a student in the last year of the college, you can apply the transcript of grades of the last three years, and write the total percentage of the last year.
- Graduates of institutes (of two years) after high school are not counted as college graduates.
- Graduates of higher institutes who have completed a four-year institute study can apply for a Master's degree, but it must be a four-year degree.
- It is your right to study a master’s degree in a specialty other than the one from which you have graduated, but it must be in a field that the student can study and does not need an academic background in it, such as: business administration, economics and political science.
- If you want to apply for a master's degree in foreign languages, engineering, or medical specialties, you must be a graduate of the same specialty.
- If you do not have any language certificates, you will be accepted in the scholarship, but in a specialization in the Turkish language, and it’s a mandatory prerequisite to study a preparatory year for the Turkish language.
- If you want to study in the English language, you must have a TOEFL or IELTS certificate with you while applying to prove your proficiency in the English language, because the scholarship does not provide a preparatory year for the English language.

The mysteries of applying for a PhD degree:
- If you are about to discuss a master’s thesis, you can apply with the transcript of grades of the subjects you have studied, and write the last year’s GPA.
- It is your right to study a PhD in a specialty other than the one from which you have graduated, but it must be a field that the student can study and does not need a scientific background in it, such as: business administration, economics and political science.
- Your PhD degree must be close to your main area of study
- If you want to apply for a PhD degree in foreign languages, engineering, or medical specialties, you must be a graduate of the same specialty.
- If you do not have any language certificates, you will be accepted in the scholarship, but in a specialization in the Turkish language, and it’s a mandatory prerequisite to study a preparatory year for the Turkish language.
